Proven tools for Dentists to thrive under pressure
If you find yourself crushed under the weight of dentistry, you aren’t broken and you aren’t alone. I can help.
I’m Dr. Craig Spiel. I’m a psychologist and my 12 week program teaches dentists to thrive under pressure, avoid disaster cycles, and feel energized by the work again.
Which Type of Dentist Are You?
The Perfectionist- If I want it done right, I need to do it myself. I wish I could rely on others, but it would all fall apart if I did.
The People Pleaser- I can’t say no. Everyone comes to me expecting me to fix their problems, and even though I’m good at it, sometimes I just want to not be needed.
The Procrastinator- There is never enough time to get it all done, and I’m always running behind and putting things off until the last moment. Things are bursting at the seams, and I don’t know how to get out of this cycle.
The Burned Out Dentist- I am emotionally exhausted and have been running on empty for far too long. Working with patients and staff has become too much and I don’t even know if I’m good at this anymore. (I talk about this more in depth on the Dentist Money Show).
The Feuding Couple- I can’t stand my practice partner. We are either fighting or not talking at all with each other. Even though we try to hide it, staff and patients are feeling the tension. Turnover is picking up and patients are leaving through the backdoor.
The Powder Keg- I feel frustrated and angry almost daily and can go from zero to 100 in no time at all. I can’t stand incompetent stupid people and deserve to be treated with respect. But I also see I’m causing tension in my dental practice and in my homelife and need to control it better.
The Facade- Outwardly, it doesn’t look like anything is wrong. Inwardly, I’m cracking under the pressure and trying to hide it. I use alcohol, substances, food, or porn for relief and don’t want anyone to know.
The Tightrope Walker- I’m trying so hard to balance my work and home life and feel like I’m letting people down in all areas.
The 5 Alarm Fire- It’s everything. I don’t want to sell my practice, but I can’t keep doing this.
Under Pressure
Dentistry is a full contact sport that takes your mind, body, and soul. Many programs help with business operations, finances, and running a multi-million dollar dental practice, but you can do all of these things right and still feel crushed under the weight of it all. I’m here to help navigate the emotional landscape of dentistry. You have worked too hard to feel miserable. Let’s fix this.
